Scholarships & Awards
The postgraduate programme “Special Education” is not able to provide independently institutionalized scholarships, as it does not receive tuition fees from the participants, but only those offered either by the central department of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs or by the State Scholarship Foundation, as well as by the Special Account for Research Founds (ELKE) of the University of Ioannina. Postgraduate students are informed about the main institutions both in Greece and abroad that offer scholarship programmes every year through the Academic Advisors of Studies, during the event at the reception of new postgraduate students of the programme and through the Mediation Office of the University of Ioannina. Any relevant announcements are posted on the website of the programme “Special Education and Education” (https://set.ptde.uoi.gr), as well as on the Department’s website (https://ptde.uoi.gr).
In particular, the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) provides scholarships to postgraduate students either through the endowments administered by IKY or through partnerships with private and public institutions that occasionally offer scholarships for postgraduate studies. The Mediation Office of the University of Ioannina provides postgraduate students with information about the main institutions in Greece and abroad that offer scholarship programmes on a regular basis, every year. In this context, the scholarship search engine of the Liaison Office operates on the website http://gd.uoi.gr/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=333.
